Harold Porter Botanical Gardens
This National Botanical Garden lies between the mountain and the ocean, in the heart of the Cape Fynbos region. Over 200 ha of endemic bushed plants plays host to over 100 species of birds including colourful sunbirds, rare Protea seedeaters, Verreaux’s eagles as well as mongooses, baboons, genets and porcupines.

Whale Watching – The Southern Right Whale
Almost hunted to extinction, this magnificent whale got its name from the “right whale” to hunt. They were slow moving, rich in oil and baleen and floated when killed.
Enjoy a boat based whale watching trip or opt to view these majestic animals from the shore during their calving and mating season giving whale watchers spectacular displays of raw power and elegant water acrobatics.
