Tour’s Program

Day 1 The Kruger National Park

On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport clear Immigration formalities and take a connecting flight to Hoedspruit Airport. On arrival embark on a private road transfer to Imbali Safari Lodge.

Sheltered in a riverine forest overlooking the seasonal Nwaswitsontso river, Imbali is built on the site of a 400-year-old African settlement that has yielded such evidence of an ancient culture as clay pots, bone tools and grinding stones.

Plush leather sofas, African patterned tapestries and traditional artifacts fight for their place of pride amidst thatched Tsonga roofs, stone columns and the odd tree that emerges unapologetically through the teak deck; an impressive Jackalberry keeping diners company as it rises through the lodge’s floor and peeps well out over the Tsonga-styled thatched roof.

Welcome to your first day in the wild and untamed African bush.

Inclusions: 3 meals, beverages (soft drinks, water, beer, selected wines & spirits) & 2 safaris daily

Day 4 The Cape Peninsula Full Day Tour

Breakfast will be served at the hotel.

Depart on a Full day Tour of Cape Point; we flank the cold Atlantic Ocean en route to Hout Bay. Once a fishing community now one of the most popular residential areas, the harbour still has a charm of days gone by. Enjoy a half-hour cruise to "Seal Island" or, for the not so adventurous, the fish market "Mariners Wharf" is a must.  We now continue alongside the Indian Ocean, and stop to see the Jackass penguin colony, which has become well established, at Boulders beach near Simon’s Town.

Afternoon travel onwards until we reach Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Said to be the romantic meeting place of the two mighty oceans, the Atlantic and the Indian, Sir Francis Drake the Explorer once called it "the fairest Cape that we saw in the whole circumference of the Globe”. And rightly so, it must be the highlight of any visit to the Mother City, if not South Africa.

Inclusions: Bantry Bay, Clifton, Campsbay, Seal Island boat ride, Chapman’s Peak Drive, The Cape of Goodhope and Cape Point, African Penguins, Boulders Beach

Overnight – The Cape Milner Hotel 4* BB

Your South African Holiday is not complete without a visit to our Winelands. A 45-minute drive from Cape Town brings you to this area where splendid mountains form a dramatic backdrop to lush vineyards and gabled Cape Dutch homesteads steeped in history. Follow in the footsteps of our ancestors as you stroll along the oak-lined streets of Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in the country. Monuments such as the Huguenot Memorial and Afrikaans Language Monument and the many outstanding museums provide a fascinating glimpse into the past.
